What you need to know before you can start to Learn to Drive.

Provisional Licence

You need your provisional licence before you can take any driving lessons.  You may apply for your licence at the age of 16 if you want to ride a moped or are able to learn to drive as a disabled driver.  You must be 17 though to start your driving lessons.

We are able to send you an application form if you want us to help you to learn to drive or you may go to the Post Office and get one for yourself.  You will need to get 2 passport style photographs to send along with your application.

Theory Test and Hazard Perception

Before you can take your practical test, you must pass the theory test and hazard perception test.  The theory test consists of 50 multiple choice questions about driving and you must score a minimum of 43 to pass this section.  The hazard perception test is also completed on a computer.  You watch a series of video clips and identify the hazards on them.  You must achieve a score of 45 out of a maximum of 75 to pass this.

Once COMPLETEd you are able to continue the journey of learning to drive by applying for your practical driving test.
